About your hosts

We are Mónica and Roland and we are originally from the Netherlands. Before setting up our bed and breakfast at Finca Las Botas we both worked in healthcare (paediatric oncology and neonatology) and in children’s education. 

After many years of working across the world in different countries we decided to settle and live our dream in Spain. Together with our two dogs, and an assortment of chickens and ducks, we began a two-year project of restoration of our finca (read ‘ruin’) to return it to the beautiful building it deserved to be. 

Rebuilding and meeting modern day standards presented a huge challenge, but we are proud of the completion of this phase of our Spanish dream and are happy to be moving to the next steps and share this amazing finca with our guests.
